Golden Circle

This Chapter is and always be about riding, we are a riding club and as such that is our primary link with each other.

We support the Southern Cruisers National in it's endeavor to help St. Jude Children's Hospital by collecting donations throughout the year and make it our one major event that we plan and conduct locally.

The History of this Chapter and the Southern Cruisers

Southern Cruisers National history can be found via this link.

Ricky Reathiford was the founder and first, 1st Officer of Chapter 211. Johnny "Hambone" Hammett was co-founder and 2nd Officer. When I joined there were 12 members. I was lucky 13 and Shirley was 14. I was very enthusiastic and Ricky asked me to be his Membership Director and recruit Members. I accepted and the Chapter rapidly grew to over 100 Members. When Hambone's job became more demanding of his time, he and Ricky decided it would be better for Ham to act as Head Road Captain and for me to step-up as 2nd Officer. That is the way it remained until Linda's accident and all of Ricky's time was devoted to her. Ricky stepped down as 1st. Officer 10-15-03 and asked me to step-up as 1st Officer. On Oct. 17th 2003 National approved me as 1st. Officer of The Golden Circle Chapter of The Southern Cruisers Riding Club. The rest is history.
